I want to evict tenants in California how long is this likely to take?

I have a rental house in California and the people have stopped paying rent (no reason given other than they say they do not have the money now). I nicely asked them to leave but they say they have no where to go and that they can not get another place without money. On Monday I will hire a service to ';boot them on their way.'; Realistically, in California how long can I expect these deadbeats to stay in my house?
